• Fruit of tropical evergreen in Asia & Africa
• Juice, skin extracts
• Has antioxidant activity
• Little research—may help w/ heart disease & fight aging of skin!

Acai (Ah-sigh-EE) Berry
• Purple berry from Brazilian Amazon
• Frozen treats, juices, beverages
• Extremely high antioxidant activity—anthocyanin
• Higher in PUFAs
• Little research has been done

Chokeberry
• aka tartberry
• Anthocyanin, quercetin, chlorogenic acid
• May be anti-heart disease (need more research)

• aka wolfberry
• Red-orange Asian fruit
• Often dried
• Related to tomato, potato, eggplant
• High in beta carotene, zeaxanthin, lycopene

• May help with fatigue, protect liver
