The threatening accumulation in the environment indestructible
chelating agents (EDDA, OEDF, NTA) becomes one of the
environmental problems, but the modern industry can not do
without it any longer.
The traditional highly resistant complexones mast be replaced by
novel biodegradable and environmentally friendly chelating
agents, which properties should be equal or better than those of
traditional.
Our project is focused on the production of such novel chelating
agents, IDS, EDDS and metal complexonates based on them.

The formation of non-toxic, environmentally safe products
from these chelating agents, such as amino acids, will not
accumulate and contaminate the environment. Once introduced into
the environment, these chelating agents can be assimilated and
processed by microorganisms, plants, and animals.
At the same time, they are able to form stable complexes
with metal ions, which provides wide opportunities for their
application.
Our research results
• We have defined the features of the new compounds
(stability, complex-forming ability, biologically
activity, environmental friendliness)
• We have optimized the parameters for the synthesis
process.
