Basic tasks
• Monitor patient before, during, after anesthesia
• Gives intravenous fluids to patient to control
dehydration during surgery
• Take charge of blood transfusion and drip of
medication
• Handles patient when they are sick or feeling
uneasy
Daily routines
Wake up at 5:43
Get to hospital until 6:10
Check anesthesia machine
Prepare for the day for about 20~40 minutes
6:30~7:00am morning lecture
Get patient by 7:30 in operation room
Check next day’s schedule and complete patient's
chart for about 30~45minutes
• Job ends around 3:30~5:00

tools. Anesthesiology is usually performed in hospital
and you need detailed drug information about the
patient because some anesthesia drug might
cause allergic reaction.

because the medicine spread through the body by
respiratory system or circulatory system. The drugs are
injected to the blood stream and sometimes inhaled
through a mask.
