• In the 1800’s nitrous oxide ether and chloroform
were the anesthetics used commonly as
intoxicants.
• 1920’s Ether was a recreational drug during the
prohibition ere when alcohol was illegal.
• 1960’s Pain killers, nail polish remover, lighter
fluid, spray paint, and lacquer thinners were
practices of solvent sniffing.
• Recent years Glue sniffing is popular for
homeless kids in South Asia, eastern Europe,
Kenya, and other places.
