Salvia Divinorum
More commonly known as “The
Diviner’s Sage” or “Salvia” or
“Legal LSD”
Intake Methods
There are 3 common methods to intake
Salvia:
1. Smoking – The most common method
2. Chewing – Usually doesn’t work
3. Using a tincture – Least common method
What are the effects of Salvia?
Salvia is a hallucinogenic drug; the primary active
ingredient being Salvanorin A. Salvia has not been
known to cause any physical harm to the user, but
smoking it can cause permanent lung scarring.
Any long-term effects?
Salvia has not caused any long-term effects in most users. A study by
the University of Nebraska was conducted in which 500 people who
have used Salvia for over 5 years and haven’t had it since. 25.8% of
People reported always having a feeling of improved happiness, 4.4%
reported having always having anxiety, and 1.2% reported having
strong cravings since they stopped taking it; other than these few
people, there is barely any evidence of Salvia being addictive.
Withdrawal and Treatment
Salvia does not have any withdrawal effects
that are known, so there is no need for any
treatment whatsoever. The only reason a
person would need treatment would be if the
user had a really bad trip and needed some
serious therapy.
Legal status
Salvia is legal in many states, but illegal in
some. You can actually buy Salvia online
and at Planet K, you just have to be over 18.
A first-hand Salvia experience
“I poured the shot glass with about 0.5 ounce of green liquid into my mouth
under my tongue then laid back onto the pillow.
I put a bandanna over my eyes and got comfortable. I repeated the affirmation
in my mind over and over. The drumming was steady and deep. Then the
drumming got deeper and wider and changed in its color. My first reaction was
fear, but I beat that back saying to myself “I am a warrior, I am a warrior.” I felt
myself being drawn into a vortex, spinning slowly round and round. I tried to let
go but part of me fought to hold onto my reality.
I don’t have any memory of a connection with what happened next. I seemed to be in the
bedroom. Everything was soft and melting, including me. Then I was bring drawn
backwards, violently, through a hole in the universe into what I knew was my death! I
fought and kicked and thrashed about franticly but it was a useless puny effort.
Then nothingness.”
