Central America inaugurated a counter drug focal point to
deal with organized crime operating in the region, responsible
not only for most of the traffic of cocaine into the United
States, but also the high homicide rate in the area.
We all do it, and the only way to do it is to be able to share this
technology and that information which is vital for combating
crime," said Martinelli. "The intention is a regional effort against
organized crime, basically, arms trafficking, drug trafficking,
human trafficking, smuggling, and others,"
