CME....how to earn it easily or avoiding the last minute rush......... January 11 2011 The facts... • You have to earn 50 credits a year to stay current • Half of these need to be Mainpro-1 or Mainpro-C • The other half can be Mainpro-1, C, or 2 • It is going to take more than a bunch of Drug Rep Dinners • If you don’t stay current, you cannot practice on the Island • It can also be expensive...... Staying Current or Checking it off • • • • • What is your view of CME? Do you look at it as an obligation to be met or an opportunity to stay current? How are you going to keep up once you graduate? Are you going to be a doctor who stopped learning once they left residency? You need a system.......
