WANTED: SCIENTISTS and ENGINEERS
Areté Associates is an employee-owned small business (ESOP) focused on advanced scientific and
computational solutions to some of the most challenging technical problems faced by the United
States. Areté seeks individuals with a BS, MS or PhD to perform challenging technical work in the
areas of sensor design and analysis, phenomenology, detection algorithms, atmospherics,
oceanography, and related software and scientific computing development. Background in physical
sciences and/or experience with sensor applications including EO/IR and radar a plus. A current
security clearance is desirable.
Areté is seeking entry-level scientists and engineers for our headquarters in Northridge, California.
These positions requires a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in physical sciences, engineering, or
mathematics. Candidates will conduct research in the areas of remote sensing, signal processing,
physics based modeling and data analysis and develop cutting-edge, novel software solutions in the
areas of signal and image processing algorithms, simulation, and interpretation.
Desired experience with the following:
C/C++
IDL/Matlab/Python
Scientific Programming
High Performance and Parallel Computing
Visual Studio
Fortran
Open GL/GPGPU
Object Oriented Programming
Unix/Linux
Additional requirements include excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work
with minimal supervision, and ability to work effectively with all levels of management. We foster a
