Clonidine
• Alpha1-adrenergic agonist
• Controlling withdrawal symptoms/signs
• superior to placebo
• equivalent to carbazepine + neuroleptic
• superior to clomethiazole
• Controlling delirium/seizures
• no adequate sized studies
• Clonidine vs benzodiazepine
• only one randomized study

Neuroleptics
