 Long term consequences of some ATS
unknown
 Treatment less available than for
opiates and/ or cocaine
 Some efforts on preventing the
negative health consequences of ATS
use, but very little on prevention

 Identify good practices in ATS prevention
with the assistance of academic
researchers, practitioners and youth –
December 2005
 Publish guidelines on ATS prevention for
policy makers and NGOs – Both available in
final draft, publication forthcoming
 Develop and test training on ATS
prevention for policy makers and NGOs –
July 2006 in the Philippines and in India
