HUDA Her Story in Pictures Huda Diagnosed with cancer at age of 2 Admitted to Children’s Central Hospital in Baghdad Her Mother was with her at all time When decorating the Oncology ward in November 2009, Huda was under anti-depressant treatment, crying all time, refuses to talk to anyone and sometimes even to her Mother. Huda accepted sweets from Assim Daghistani Princess Dr Nisreen Started talking to her for more than 15 minutes.. and Huda laughed She promised the Princess that she will start drawing and in the next visit she will present it The Library opened its doors on January 2nd 2010 Huda was there on daily basis participating in the activities Huda liked the volunteers: “I feel they are my brothers and sisters”, Huda said She is more active, accepting treatment, and a smile is on her face Watching children’s movies and taking care of younger patients Huda is getting more responsible During the Opening Ceremony on January 28th 2010, Huda’s Doctor announced that she is no longer on anti-depressant drug, and thanks to the Volunteers and the activities in the library Huda said Thank you to the Princess Nisreen ElHashemite Huda became one of the volunteers On Valentine’s Day 2010 Ahmad Jawad is painting her face With her dearest friends at the library Noof and Mustafa AL-Dabagh Mustafa Al-Lami And Karam Taking pictures with her mobile phone when celebrating Aya’s Birthday After Huda distributed cakes to her fellow children’s patient , she ate her piece with Mrs Raghad Huda with Princess Dr Nisreen El-Hashemite and the Volunteers. Her best friend Noof was busy with Aya Huda’s wish to have a make over One week before her 17th Birthday Reem Khan made her wish come true Thank you Reem Thank you Noof You made her day You made her laugh You made her dream And most importantly to enjoy the last days of her life You were there for her even when she was in pain Huda’s last visit to the Library Huda is no longer with us Admitted at age of 2, and hospitalized for 15 years The Hospital was her home Noof, Mustafa, Mustafa, Karam, Reem, and all volunteers were her friends Noof was the dearest friend, and all her thoughts and talks were only with Noof She had a dream, to go to Zawra’a Park to see it for first time in her life and to celebrate her Birthday Noof prepared the party and the trip died on the day of her17th Birthday
