Klaipeda Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts
The Chamber of Industry and Commerce that was operating in the Klaipėda region during the interwar period had
been founded as early as 1919, six years earlier than the Lithuanian Chamber of Industry and Commerce was
established in Kaunas.
KCCIC emerged after reorganizing Klaipėda Corporation of Merchants (1822-1919), which, in turn, derived from
the Klaipėda Guild of Merchants founded in 1597.
“Uniting the main industrialists and tradespeople from
Klaipėda region, the Chamber has always been one of
the most influential organizations in the region and
has even influenced political decisions on a regional
level.”
