
A new General Transport Master Plan (MPGT) is being elaborated by
the Ministry of Transport.
As stated in the Partnership Agreement, the Master Plan will be the
foundation of the development of projects in 2014-2020, providing a
vision for the development of the transport sector in Romania until
2030.
141 projects, with a total estimated cost of EUR 37 Billion (58% of the
total cost of the projects considered), were proposed in the railway
sector to be analysed in the first version of MPGT, submitted to
debate in 2013. (The maintenance and major repair projects are
predominant)
