The use of IT based solutions raises the efficiency of organizations, but this also
increases the reliance on the IT services, therefore solutions must address these
critical business continuity requirements.

Solution: Data Vaulting
• Designed to aid organizations in getting their data off-site in a secure
manner
• Primarily intended to assist with initial efforts at building out disaster
recovery or providing regulatory archive compliance
–
First step in building a DR solution is to get the data offsite
frequently enough to meet RPO (Recovery Point Objective)
–
Provide geographical separation consistent with Florida Statute
• Number of replication techniques available
–
Replication technique selected based on client needs, resources
and capabilities
• Data secured using VPNs and/or session (i.e. TLS) encryption
• Data may be encrypted at rest at replication target site depending upon
replication technique
• Offer a spectrum of solutions between fully managed and capacity-only
Solution: Disaster Recovery
• Designed to aid organizations in providing disaster recovery for critical
business applications and comply with legal requirements for DR
• Solutions designed around client RPO (Recovery Point Objectives) and RTO
(Recovery Time Objectives)
• Number of replication techniques available
–
Replication technique selected based on client needs, resources
and capabilities
• Number of compute capacity types and reservations available
• Data secured using VPNs and/or session (i.e. TLS) encryption
• Data may be encrypted at rest at replication target site depending upon
replication technique
• Offer a spectrum of solutions between fully managed and capacity-only
Solution: On & Off Premise Backup
• Backup and Recovery services are critical to safe guarding data and
operations
• Often difficult to attract and retain highly skilled people for complex
backup environments involving replication, tape rotations, etc.
–
Many times an organization invests in training a staff member
only to have the individual seek out employment elsewhere
• e-Tech provides backup as a managed service on and off client premises
–
May use either customer or e-Tech supplied hardware &
software
• Data secured using VPNs and/or session (i.e. TLS) encryption
• Data may be encrypted at rest at replication target site depending upon
backup solution
• Offer a spectrum of solutions between fully managed and capacity-only
Solution: Remote Hosting
• e-Tech has partnered with a national network service provider (NSP) with
over 70 hosting location in the CONUS (Continental United States)
• The NSP owns a comprehensive fiber plant covering most of the CONUS
• e-Tech provides facilities in it's preferred locations where it already
maintains a presernce or anywhere requested by the client and available
• Secure facilities
–
Staffed 24x7 with security and usually operational personnel
–
Locked cages and/or racks
–
Controlled and logged access to facilities
• May use either customer or e-Tech supplied hardware & software
• Offer a spectrum of solutions between fully managed and capacity or
facility only
Solution: Remote Management
• e-Tech provides management of IT assets on client premises from remote
location
–
May involve some on-site work from time to time
• Designed to allow clients with a small, but complex, IT component to have
it expertly managed by certified engineers, while leaving it physically
located with the rest of the organization's IT assets.
• Intended to reduce costs of staffing for smaller organizations
–
Eliminates the need for over worked and under appreciated staff
to be experts on everything in their environment
–
e-Tech is a virtual staff member
• Examples
–
Remotely managed firewall services
–
Remotely managed PowerHA/AIX environments
–
Managing firmware and upgrades to the environment
