Importance of Machine Tools
Machine tools are backbone of many
major manufacturing industries
Example
Profile of a Japanese car manufacturing company:
Revenues: 230 billion $ (India’s GDP: 1089 billion $)
Profits: 15 billion $ (Ethiopia’s GDP: 20 billion $)
Machining Budget: 8 billion $ (Rs 45000 Crores)
Opportunities in Machine Tool Industry
A large percent of machine tools produced in India
are CNC machine tools.
There are many opportunities in machine tool
Industries.
There is an urgent need for designers and
entrepreneurs in machine tool sector.
Institute too gets frequent requests from industry
for placement opportunities in these industries.
