THE CATAYLST TO TRANSFORM EDUCATIONAL
PROCESS FOR A BETTER AND HAPPY TOMORROW
There was a leading Chartered Accountant(CA), who was on
his way to another city for an important professional
assignment. While crossing the river, he had the following
interesting conversation with a boatman: CA : “Do you know the provisions of the new companies
act?”
Boatman : “No sir, I struggle to fill my stomach. I don’t know
Co Law”
CA : “One quarter of your life is wasted, if you don’t know
CO Law .”
The boatman heard this ,did not react and continued to row
the boat.
CA : “OK. Do you atleast know some provisions of the latest
Direct Tax Code?”
Boatman smiled again and said, “No Sir .”
CA : “Yet another quarter of your life is wasted if you have not
learnt about Income Tax Act ”
As the boatman remained silent and continued to row the boat,
the arrogant professional asked,
“How about Indian Economy, do you know latest GDP
figures?”
Boatman : “No Sir.”
CA : “One further quarter of your life is wasted because you
are not exposed to how the economy of our country functions.”
The Boatman saw that the Educated Professional did not
understand his position and hence continued to row his boat.
Suddenly, as the boat was right in middle of the river, the boatman
realized that water was seeping into the boat through a hole.
Immediately, the boatman asked the CA, “Oh! Sir, do you happen
to know Tarana Vidya? (Tarana Vidya is the skill of swimming).
CA : “Why? I don’t know swimming.”
The boatman said, “Oh! How sad – your full life is wasted.”
Thus saying, the boatman jumped out of the boat and swam ashore
while the CA was left struggling for survival.
Friends we may know Accountancy , Physics, Botany or Chemistry. We
may be master scholar of Economics , Maths or Literature. But unless we
have the necessary wisdom ,attitude and skills to cross the river of life
which is full of uncertainities and challenges ,we will never rise, shine and
be happy in life.
Secular Education confers knowledge which may help us attain success in
career ,job and business(Living)

unique into the world. It is our responsibility to tap the vast potential within

and module to transform our innate abilities into exemplary deeds in the
realistic world of action.

It is essential for man to foster humanity by
practising human values. Human values are
extremely precious. It is only when you practise
