Electrical Requirements
The Vcafé automatically accommodates input voltage from 100 to 240VAC. No
changes to the internal wiring or power supply are required. (How cool is this??)
Only the electical connector and a program selection will require change. The
latter will be covered in the next slide. Specifications with recommended

Electrical Requirements
The recommended connectors were selected for being almost
universally accepted throughout North America. Others may be
suitable for use in a given locale. Before changing connector styles, be
certain your local electrical codes will consider it acceptable.
Circuit Breakers require rigid adherence to the recommendations on
the previous page. Do not connect the Vcafé to a circuit protected by a
breaker rated lower than these values.
Always confirm the circuit used is protected by the correct breaker
value and that the Vcafé is the only machine using the circuit. Failure
to comply with these basic safety guidelines promotes the possibility of
property loss, injury or even death.
Specifications and Installation Requirements:
Water Filters
Water filters should be used on all coffee dispenser
installations. Making up more than 95% of the finished
drink, taste free water is essential to the quality of any
dispensed beverage.
Contributors to bad tasting water include sediment,
dissolved minerals and chemicals. The most prevalent of
these factors is chlorine and is easily eliminated using a
simple in line or cartridge filter as illustrated here.
The most insidious issues may include all of these factors
and may require a multi stage system to remove
particulates, minerals and chemicals such as iron, sulphur,
lead and more.
Water filtration is a complex specialty and requires
familiarity with local conditions. When required, always
consult a reputable filter vendor for specific needs.
This subject will receive detailed coverage in a course
dedicated to the subject.
Always use a filter!
