Alarm
Alarms are recorded in a nonvolatile memory and transmitted
via the communication port or by
the dry contact relays.

Operation and Diagnosis
The controller knows the position of the arm at
all times.
It can detect a break or blockage of live parts or
gears.
Cams are NOT used to determine arm position,
a combination of torque and position is used to
determine the actual position of the arm
throughout entire operation.

The optical positioning system has a precision
of 1/5 of a degree, thus providing great
flexibility for data analysis by function of the
position.

Elimination of Auxiliary Cam Switches
The optical positioning system, OPS,
provides an accuracy in the DS arm
position measurement that is
impossible with traditional methods.
Positions are now assigned within
the software.
Once the positions are established
the configuration file can be copied
to other iCODs operating DS of the
same design.
