Auxiliary relays for railway
sector
Product overview
Product overview
Arteche offers a wide range of high performance auxiliary relays, suitable for the most
demanding applications.
General characteristics




In compliance with the more restrictive railways standards EN
50155, EN 60077-2, EN 61373, BS RIA 20.
Security relays with forcibly guided contacts according to EN
50205 (WELD NO CONTACT).
Weld resistant contacts according to NF F 70-031 (NO
WELD)
Contacts able to work with high loads and low loads.
Possibility to operate without any load.

Fire behaviour according NF F16-102 requirement 2

Temperature range -40ºC to 70ºC

Relays can be installed in any position, adapting to the
requirements of each train
Product overview
Reliability of the ARTECHE relays, makes them suitable for applications of high
responsibility, up to SIL 4:
Brake control
Door blockage
Security loops
Pantograph control
Air conditioned and heating control
Signalling (ATP/ATO, CBTC, …)

Range of products
Instantaneous relays
Output contacts change instantaneously from non-working position to working
position when its coil is energized, coming back these contacts to the initial
nonworking position when the coil is no more fed.
Range

Continuous operation even in high temperature ambient

Capable to operate under low duty loads, FF range

Optional extended voltage range (+25/-30%)

Capable to withstand vibrations and seismic conditions

Latching relays
Gama
Depending on which coil is energized, the output contacts
will change from one position to another. The design of
Arteche relay allows to have no consumption in permanence.


From 2 to 8 contacts
Possibility of diode in parallel with the coil. It helps to
unload the energy stored in the coil when the relay is deenergised, protecting the contact which commands the
relay.

Time-lag relays
In Time-Lag Relays the output contact actuation is
directed by a timing. All of the timing options are
available in the same relay.
Characteristics:


Different timing functions in one relay: on pick-up,
on drop-out, cyclic, selectable on the front side.
Possibility of timed and instantaneous contacts in
the same relay.

Wide range of timing: from 0,03 s to 99 h.

Voltage range -30%, +25%

Self-cleaning contacts
Range:

From 2 up to 8 contacts.

Possibility of independent command voltage

Withstand vibrations and seismic
according EN61373 y BS RIA 20.

Maximum/minimum voltage
relay

Vdc or Vac voltage measuring relay.

It can be used as maximum or minimum voltage relay.

4
Bistable impulse relay. When
power supplied, a current
impulse (trigger signal)
changes contact position.

Contactors
High breaking capacity relay (up to 15A 125VDC 40ms). Output contacts change
instantaneously from non-working position to working position when its coil is
energized, coming back when the coil is no more fed.

Sockets and accessories
Wide range of sockets

For mounting on DIN rail or flush mounting.

Front or rear connection.

Screw or faston terminal.

IP10 and IP20 protection rating.
Security pins
They allow the codification of the relay and
socket, in a way that a certain relay can only be
plugged in a certain socket.

The form of the ARTECHE pins allow many
different combinations.


.
Sockets and accessories
Retaining clips
Different types of retaining clips to
assure the relay will not get out of the
sockets due to vibration.
E0 – universal, valid for any combination
of socket + relay. Only applicable to
instantaneous and time-lag relays.
E** - clip, depends of the combination
