L2 Problem
Description

Position
Number
GFX
PU1
The Initial Problem Analysis:
1 : Visually check MB slot for damage. Check front and back of the board for line breaks.
2: Check SX1 if it has 32.768 KHz or not. Check PU16 PIN2 +3VSB and OR1 PIN1 +3VSB_ATX are normal.
3: After plugging CPU and power on, on board port(DVI, VGA) has no display at B2 code.
4: Definition and Type of no display:
A. CPU socket PINs are normal or not.
B. GFX power is normal or not.
C. The working condition of CPU & SB. CPU calculates the data and it would be transmitted to SB
(through FDI bus). After that SB will transform these data to be analog or digital information
through VGA or DVI communication bus to display.
Repair process
Visually Check
Measure VCORE and GFX
Check PU1 (ASP1000RM)
Other Steps
VGA impedance of signals
DVI impedance of signals
CPU socket PIN check (FDI PIN)
1. VCORE is normal.
2. GFX has no voltage.
1. Measure the working condition of VCORE:
2. VCC (+5V)
3. EN Signal (+1.07V)
After checking other signals and voltage. Try to exchange PU1 to
solve this case.
