인간은 생존을 위해 음식의 색에 민감하도록 진화해왔다. 검은색(탄 것, 죽은 것),
빨간색(날 것), 갈색(익은 것) 등, 우리는 음식의 색깔로써 그 음식이 몸에 이로울 지

그린>은 초록색의 음식처럼 단순한 이미지로써 즉각적으로 양가성을 보여준다.
과거와 현재의 색채 대비로 영화에서 지속적으로 나타난다. 영화에서 귀한 것으로
여기는 신선한 붉은 쇠고기와 사과는 과거를 뜻한다. 신선한 색깔이 퇴색된 과거를
의미한다는 것은 의미심장하다. 과거가 얼마나 좋았던지 되풀이하던 솔이 ‘집’이라
고 불리는 안락사 센터에서 죽음을 맞이할 때 보는 과거의 자연 화면이 영화의 어
떤 현재보다 생생한 색깔이라는 것 또한 그렇다. 관객은 아주 쉽게 과거와 현재의
차이를 이해할 수 있다.
