Summary
The 2A technology application
A collection of technical solutions and rules
for optimization of the process of industrial
control systems development


The 2A is a real-time system:


Parameter update time ~1 msec
Reaction time: 5 msec and greater

The 2A technology features


The platform consists of two parts:
 CANopen hardware, real-time based system
 2AConf software for system assembling,
configuring and calibrating
A real-time system developer is enabled to:
 Assemble system from various devices
 Install and calibrate sensors
 Install calculated parameters generators
 Configure presentation devices
 Tune up control logic
 Configure registration mode

2A: System Assemblage

Wide range of ready made devices is available:










Current sensor adapter (4…20мА)
Voltage sensor adapter (0…10V)
Resistance sensor adapter
On-off sensors (counter, encoder)
Digital indicator panels
Logical controllers
Device drivers (analog, on-off, power)
Programmable current generators
Multi-button terminals
Third party CANopen devices
Sensor adapters
Any special device can be manufactured within the period from
one to six months
2AConf software provides a simple way to glue all the
components together

2A: Acquisition





Sensors are connected via ready-made unified digital
adapters
Any standard sensor (4…20mA or 0…10V) can be linked in a
minute
Special digital adapters for non-standard sensors can be
manufactured within the period from one to three months
Parameter registration rate: up to 1000Hz
2AConf software describes, configures and calibrates the
sensors in a system:




Choose a sensor’s type, e.g. Current sensor
Set a parameter name, e.g. Oil temperature
Set a parameter unit of measurement, e.g. Celsius
Set a parameter rate, e.g. 10Hz

2A: Logics and calculation

A ready-made Logical controller device is
available:






Supports eight input and eight output parameters
Calculates simple expressions: sin, cos, atan, exp, abs,
ceil, floor, sinh, cosh, tanh, ln, deg2rad, rad2deg, sign,
pi, +, -, *, /
Computes logic predicates: <, <=, >, >=, ==, !=, put, get,
skip
Any special purpose logical controller device can be
manufactured within one month
Third party CANopen logical controller devices are
available
2AConf software is used to input and test the
expressions and logic code

2A: Presentation devices

Two ready made presentation devices exists:





Two parameters digital indicator and
Eight parameters digital indicator
Any special purpose presentation device can be
done in a six months
Third party CANopen presentation devices are
available
2AConf software is used to configure presentation
devices:
Two and eight parameters


Attaches parameters to indicator’s slots
Chooses physical units to visualize

indicators
2A: Automation


Power device drivers are available (400V on-off
trigger)
Any special device driver can be manufactured
within a period from one to three months:



Actuator parameters and control logic should be specified
Third party CANopen device drivers are available
2AConf software is used to configure device
drivers:


Specify control logic
Tune up driver output digital or analog signals
<= first
2A: Logging



rMonitor software can log and monitor all 2A-based
system parameters
Logged data can be exported to the LAS file format
rLog server software can collect data at a remote
server and gave an access it from any location via
rMonitor client software

1. Real-time system
2. All devices share the same
address space on a CAN-bus.
The update time is about 1
msec.
3. Devices interact in accordance
with CANopen standard.
4. Devices have access to each
other and operate
independently in compliance
with embedded program logic.
5. Large scale systems with
complex control logic can be
assembled from simple 2Adevices with simple logic
embedded.
6. Cold start time is about one
second.
