Advanced network technique: Ethernet and serial ports
Industrial Ethernets:
● 1331MCP-1 has the Ethernet port interfaces
● Dual Ethernet ports can be worked at the same time or back up
for each other for assuring the stability of the communication
Serial ports:
● 1331MCP has 10 serial ports, which can be set as RS232/ 485
/422, each one can be run in independent protocol for communication
with dispatch centers or intelligent devices in substation.
● Each functional board has RS232 site maintenance serial port.
● The remote maintenance or program upgrading through MODEM
or Ethernet is supported.

High Capacity Micro-processors of all Boards
a) The CPU of the main communication processor unit adopts
international standard PC/104 module (ISO1966.1), which is
80486 100MHz and has strong process ability and is easy for
upgrading. 4M electronic disk is used for the storage of
program and data. Its MTBF is nearly 20 years.
b) The CPU of all the functional boards is Intel80196 16 bits
micro-processor, which assure the process ability of all the I/O
units

Technical Features (4)
All Boards can be plugged in or out with system power on
In the cabinet of DF1331, it is electrically isolated among all
the boards and also between the boards and the site
connections. There are no direct electrical connection among
them.
The electrical-magnetic isolation, electrical-optical isolation,
and so on have been considered thoroughly in the design.
Each board can be plugged in or out when the system in
running without damage to anything.
This design increases the stability of the whole system and
makes it convenient for the site debug and maintenance.

Convenient for Connection with all kinds of Systems
 A 1331MCP has 10 serial ports and also Ethernet ports, and
all of them can be expanded for more. Each communication
port can be set in different protocols for connection with all
kinds of intelligent systems such as dispatch center, or
protection relays, meters or GPS etc in substation to form the
Substation Automation System.
 Abundant protocols library available in DF1331 system,
such as IEC60870-5-101, IEC60870-5-102, IEC60870-5-103,
IEC60870-5-104, DNP, CDT92, CDT85, RP570, RP571, 8890,
U4F, MB88, MODBUS, SCI1801V6, ISA, LFP,XT9702 etc.

Convenient Local and Remote Maintenance Functions
You can program the RTU with the provided maintenance software in
a portable computer on site or even a thousand miles away through
the public telephone net or Internet.
You can do all the things remotely as you can in the substation. Many
things can be solved in your office. No erase or write to the EPROM
is needed.
With the remote maintenance function, our support technician can
also help you to keep the DF1331 running in the correct mode.

Support Mixed Modes of Analog Signal Sampling
The 1331AI board is designed for the DC analog sampling
with a very high accuracy.
1331ACAI AC analog input boards designed for flexible
sampling of the AC signal without transducers with very
high accuracy and stability. All the current inputs can be
set flexibly with different voltage inputs for the calculation
of power. It can be set to start high speed sampling for
each channel at a rate of 64 to 128 points per cycle for the
display and analysis of the waveforms and calculation to
the 31st harmonic.

Dual MCP Hot-backup mode improves the reliability
 In some special requested applications , such as in some
ultra-high voltage substations or plants, dual 1331MCP can be
configured as the dual main communication processors of the
system. These two MCP units work in the hot backup mode for
each other. One is the main processor, the other works in hot
backup mode, that is, they have the same configuration
parameters and same application software and data base are
synchronized with the main one. As there are some faults
occurs in the main one, the backup one will be take placed as
the main processor.

PSOS--Embedded Real Time Operation System Optional
 1331MCP-1 units and the IEDs have the PSOS
embedded real time operation system . PSOS
system is specially designed for ultra-high reliability
and real time quality industrial control system, its
cores had been certificated by FAA and FDA, and
which had been used in Boeing airplanes.
 PSOS system provides many kinds of standard
protocol packages, such as TCP/IP, PPP, X25 etc,
and that make it easy for DF1331 system to connect
with many kinds of LAN (local area net) or WAN.

High level EMC Capacity
 Many new technologies on the Electro Magnetic
Compatibility are adopted in the DF1331 system, and it
passed most of the IEC61000-4 IV class test standards
set.
 DF1331 has good shielding and grounding structure, and
at the same time, it has thorough consideration for
ventilation and heat loss and anti tropical climate to
ensure the long term stability working.

 DF1331 adopts unique ‘long password lock’ technique
and current-limitation technique and some other
techniques which assure that even in the worst situation,
no wrong control output will occur.
 Anti chattering design is adopted in the digital input
sampling software and anti interference design is
adopted in DI hardware.
 Thorough self test functions are available.
 Dual power supply automatic switch design in the power
supply unit, AC or DC power supply are all permitted.

Especially suitable for the 6kV~35kV terminal S/Ss, with the
