Introduction



MobiDICK is a complete test bench for
super-drawers
Will be used during the maintenance in the
long shutdown of 2013
Present system (MobiDICK3) based on:




VME crate
VME boards (ADC, CPU,…)
Aluminum box: 50 cm x 33 cm x 41 cm and
20kg
Why MobiDICK4?






Now there are only 3 systems available, we
need a fourth one to test 4 barrels at the same
time…
No replacement for some modules (CPU)
Obsolete technology
Reduce size and weight
Expand compatibility with the new front-end
electronics (Upgrade demonstrator)

Glue software

MobiDick software is divided into front-end (Willy) and back-end (server)

Server cross-compiled for the motherboard (ppc)
Replaced hardware calls by new hardware libraries
Hardware library prototypes ready, new package m4_server
