Ethical Principles. Codes of conduct are standards that
outline how individuals or groups of people are to act. The
health care/medical community has their own code of
conduct, which is outlined in the American Medical
Association’s Code of Medical Ethics. This code is rooted in
the four ethical principles of autonomy, justice, beneficence,
