• OBSTACLES TO FREEDOM: IGNORANCE DURESS,
FEAR, HABIT, INORDINATE ATTACHMENT
• FREEDOM VS LICENSE:
– LICENSE = CHOICE TO DO WHAEVER ONE
WANTS, WITHOUT LIMITS—AN
EXCESSIVE, ABSOLUTE ABUSE OF FREEDOM
EMOTIONS
• EMOTIONS ARE MORALLY NEUTRAL:
TO DEGREE EMOTIONS ENGAGE
REASON AND WILL, WE FIND MORAL
