Bison’s Adaptations
• They have strong digestive systems to extract
nutrients from fibrous vegetation
• They have hard hooves for rapid travel
because they are almost always migrating
• They have thick woolly coats for insulation
during cold nights
Purple Cone Flower’s Adaptation
• They have large root systems to absorb the
tiniest amounts of moisture in dry soil
• Their leaves have tiny hair and bumps to allow
the entry of dew and moisture
• You would probably mainly see grass and
maybe a few trees here and there
• You may hear various animals
