The first thing you need to do is prepare
all your selected materials, prepare all
stems free from excess foliage and all
materials in water, preparation is key to
completing your corsage and will enable
you to go step.
A traditional rose corsage needs 8 ivy
leaves these need to be wired into four
separate units.
1 unit of 3 ivy leafs.
2 units of 2 ivy leafs.
and 1 single unit ivy leaf.
1-2 single stem roses or a few spray roses.
Some filler material such gypsophilia, wax
flower, 4-6 single units depending on how
big the corsage is.
Some berries such as hypercium, ivy
berries to complement the design.

Materials needed
1-2 single stem roses or a few spray roses.
Some filler material such gypsophilia, wax
flower, 4-6 single units depending on how
big the corsage is to be.
Some berries such as hypercium, ivy
berries.
A pair of floristry scissors
28 gauge silver floristry wire.
Green floristry tape.

Then cut and wire the different flower
materials onto wires and tape with the
para film tape.
To do this, first cut the flower head off
the roses at a straight angle and insert a
wire into the stem. Once the rose is
mounted wrap green florist tape around
the stem and wire to secure and maintain
moisture.
Single head roses need to be support
wired, spray roses need only a single silver
rose wire 28 gauge double leg mount.
For the ivy leaves, insert a florist wire
through the centre of the leaf before
folding the ends of the wire downwards
and wrapping them around the stem.
To wire the other foliage and berries, snip
lengths off the other materials and use
silver 28 gauge wire around the stem with
every single piece of material being used
and again tape individually.
Step three

Start arranging the wired foliage begin
with your wired ivy leaves as the corsage
backing arrange the wired flowers and
foliage like a small posy until you are
happy with the design. Add ribbon, beads
as you wish and secure everything
together using florist para film tape.
Remember one binding point.
The end needs to neat and finished at the
end so there are no evidence of wires
poking through.
You can finish the stem with ribbon or
decorative wire.
Provide a couple of decorative pins for
attachment.
