What is a butterfly?
Butterflies lay big and small eggs.
Butterflies have all sorts of beautiful coloured wings.
Butterflies are insects. All insects have six legs, also the
legs are attached to the thorax. Caterpillars metamorphose
to become a butterfly or moth.
What is a caterpillar?
• Caterpillars turn into beautiful, colourful butterflies.
• Some are furry which makes it hard for birds to swallow it
up.
• Caterpillars lay eggs also it turns into a pupa out of a case.
What is a beetle?
• Ladybirds are in the beetle family.
• However beetles come in different colours and sizes some
are even gold.
• Beetles eat bugs, plants and many more food.
What is a ladybird?
• Some ladybirds have black spots
• Ladybirds lay delicate eggs on green leaves.
• Ladybirds eat aphids. There's all kinds of
aphids, there's green aphids, black aphids and
white aphids.
• Adult ladybirds have eyes called compound
they can see so much more than humans.
Ladybirds stay together so they can be protected
from bird. It would give them a chance to
survive.

• Thorax- is the second part of the body off an
insects.
• delicate- means easily broken or damaged soft
and fine.
• aphids- are small flies that live on leaves and
they come in different colours.
