Fresh Water

than 1% salt is fresh
water.
• Fresh water biomes
include lakes, ponds,
streams, rivers and
wetlands.
Estuaries
• Estuaries are where
rivers meet the sea
and salt and fresh
water mix. Ex:
Hudson River.
• Estuaries contain
many species that
travel or migrate to
complete different
parts of their life
cycle.
