Extension of Cardon Mountain
 This mountain has an area of 1266.8 hectares with a
minimum altitude is 177 meters and a maximum
altitude of 691 meters.
Why is this mountain protected?
 Cardon Mountain is a solid mountain that presents an
interesting relief, due to millions of years of erosion
that has sculptured an impressive landscape formed by
a sharp ridge. Its slopes are home to the Canary Island
Daisy, a species of vegetation endemic on the Island.
 It is a protected area because they try to keep the
endemic species of flora and fauna of the area.
 This space is an area of ecological sensitivity, indicated
by the law of Prevention of Environmental Impact.
Other values
 Cardon Mountain has important scenic resources,
especially in its eastern slopes, where the mountain
rises from just a plain.
 It also has floristic richness in rock-dwelling species,
some endangered and most protected , which also
gives a great scientific value.
Endemic Species
 A endemic species of the island
growing in the mountain is the
Cardon plant and Jorjao.
