another organism.
2. Give three examples of symbiotic relationships.
SYMBIOSIS
• A relationship between organisms of different species
is called symbiosis.
• Four kinds of symbiosis are recognized:
1. mutualism,
2. commensalism,
3. parasitism,
4. predator/prey.

which both species benefit is
called mutualism.

• In a predator and prey relationship one species
is benefitted and the other is killed.

• A symbiotic relationship in which organisms
fight/compete for food, shelter, a mate or other
resources.

• Predation is found in all ecosystems and
