Introduced in Houston in 1985.
Can be found anywhere where there is
water
How did this species effect people?


The female mosquito sucks on human
blood.
Females can be vectors of encephalitis,
Dengue fever, yellow fever, and dog
heartworm.
What effects does the Asian Tiger
Mosquito have on the ecosystem?

They can kill the American robin hood,
the northern mocking bird, birds,
ducks, turkeys, horses, and rarely
humans.
