Rapid
Notification
• Some counties are using rapid notification
systems. The WVDE is aware these are in use:
– School Messenger
– Parent Link
– School Reach
• The WVDE does not endorse any vendors of
this type of service.
• Notify [email protected] and
[email protected] if your county is using any
other rapid notification service.

Client
• Access.k12.wv.us server supports IMAP
– Practical option for those frequently using both
webmail and client software (such as MS Outlook)
– Synchronizes Inbox, Sent and custom folders
between webmail and client software
– Old & important messages easily transferred from
web folders to client folders for permanent storage
– More complex to manage than POP since it involves
two sets of message folders in the mail client
• Web folders represent mail on the server
• Client folders contain mail on your computer
