UX2000 SBA "CERTIFIED SECURE"
CERTIFIED SECURE BY INDEPENDENT TESTING:
• NET's Unified Exchange 2000 (UX2000) was certified secure as a
redundant survivable gateway by Miercom under the Performance
Verified program.
• The UX2000 is a qualified Survivable Branch Appliance (SBA) for
Microsoft Lync 2010 and other next generation VoIP and Unified
Communications deployments.
KEY FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
• NET UX2000 blocked all mutations and vulnerability tests for a 100%
effectiveness rate
• UX2000 is a highly secure Survivable Branch Appliance (SBA) for
Microsoft Lync deployments did not drop any connected calls and
additional calls could be placed
• UX2000 withstood security and vulnerability tests under normal
operations, as well as in survivability mode

AD for Advanced voice solutions
Auto-routing for Enterprise Voice Users
1. In an upstream deployment, a call
comes into the UX from the PSTN. This
DID is associated to a previous user of
the PBX which has since been migrated
over to Lync during a POC or planned
migration.
2. The UX can query AD, or more optimally
cache desired AD attributes locally.
3. The UX performs an AD lookup and
finds a match for a Lync user and checks
to see if they are Enterprise Voice
Enabled based on the MS-RTCSIPline
attribute.
4. It is then determined the number does
match a Enterprise Voice Enabled user
and is then routed to Lync.
5. If the DID happens to be to a number
that is not Enterprise voice enabled, the
UX can then pass through this call to the
PBX seamlessly.

PSTN
AD fields based alternate routing example
1. A Call comes into the UX from the PSTN
2. Access to the AD and Lync FE is down.
3. The UX uses the next configured route and
performs an AD lookup using its Cached AD
entries.
4. It matches the user’s Lync number but can
also return their associated Mobile number.
5. The Call routing can be setup to route the
user’s mobile number, for example, and out to
the PSTN/PBX/SIP Trunk.
