AUP of JGNII
1 User organization must exchange a joint research agreement with NICT at first time before using
JGN II.
2 When user proposes new projects after the first experiment project, user will only be required new
project proposal. Exchange a joint research agreement with NICT will no longer required. New project
partners must exchange a joint research agreement with NICT each.
3 Following actions are prohibited;
①Experiments without a joint research agreement with NICT
②Experiments with no relation to user’s research
③Profitable network use
④ Use by outsider without a joint research agreement with NICT
⑤Interference with network operation and management
⑥Violation against public order and standards of decency
⑦Improper actions which NICT(a manager of JGN II) recognizes
4 A TransPAC user using a Chicago link will be automatically a JGN II user, and be required to
exchange a joint research agreement with NICT after Aug. 1, 2004. (Draft Idea)
○ NICT does not guarantee quality of JGN II.
○ NICT may collect information necessary for network operation and management.
