HCA: LTE
• Divisional and segmental specs to support the LTE
infrastructure construction and the provision of services on
the LTE network platform
• In priorities of the national sector standards plan, for not
only the business of some of the biggest Telco's in the world
but the relation with the state level innovation strategies as
well

• FDN
• Aimed to get rid of the role of dumb pipeline, hopefully for a better
performance of the carriers
• Manipulate resources based on differentiation of the requirement of
the particular traffics
• SDN
• Reorganized as excellent approach for networking
• Expected for being successfully used not for IDC and CDN, but for the
backbone carrier networks as well

• A TD-LTE based broadband trunking system (B-TrunC)
• Support of rich communication is one function of it
• Good market potential in China especially for public service
applications
• The industry have agreed up on a single technology
standard

• Objective
• Be competent to support members’ Cloud business
• Be capable to provide guidelines for those who need Cloud related
standards
• Approach
• Situation scurvy of the existing Cloud related standards
• Make most use of all the existing Cloud related standards, from
international to de factual ones all alike,
• Fill the blanks of high value , if any, in areas where we are the best
• Fulfill a Cloud Standards Guideline
• Since 2010: 50+ Cloud projects by existing TCs
• 2013: A temporary project group consists of expertise from
TCs of CCSA
• Drafts of a Guideline and CCSA Working Plan in Cloud

HCA: M2M/IoT
• Location monitoring based Electric bicycle burglary
prevention system in City of Wuxi
• Collaborated with Ministry of Public Security and the City Gov.;
• A surprising good result:
• Enthusiasm of the authorities to adopt and recommend the relevant
technologies, standards and systems for a widely practical use
• The influence power of the authority or key organizations of a
vertical
• Biological disasters prevention: monitoring & early warning
system
• Collaborated with Ministry of Agriculture:
• Trying to be one of the National Agriculture Sector Standards-A cross
sector collaboration model?

PROGRESS OF CHINA’S TELECOM
INDUSTRY
• Telephone subscribers in China kept increasing. By the end
of May, 2014, the total number subscribers reached 1.52
billion:
• 1.26 billion mobile subscribers;
- 470 million 3G and 4G subscribers;
• 260 million fixed line subscribers;
By the end of May, 2014, Internet users reached 1.05 billion:
• 197 million broadband users
• 857 million Mobile Internet users;
