• Project PROBE: Was a NZ government initiative
to provide high speed internet services to
schools and communities in rural areas,
ThePacific.net was the regional supplier chosen
and we used the project to extend our wireless
network to many communities around the
region.
• Wimax: After finishing project PROBE
Thepacific.net obtained 2 frequency allocations
in the 3.5Ghz spectrum to use as a multi-point
solution
• Hotspots: We have decided to deploy
multiple hotspots in the region in
preparation for WiMAX
• FTTH: Our company signed the first
contract to provide Data, Voice and TV
over fiber in a new subdivision in the
region
• VOICE: Development and implementation
of voice over IP services is planned in the
next few months
