Who do we serve?
Enterprise
Enterprise – VSAT Networks
• Our global teleport network can host customer-owned VSAT hubs for
•
private networks or internet access
• Allowing customers to reach beyond their organic networks into global
markets
• Allowing customers to focus on their core business outsourcing teleport
infrastructure and operations to SES WORLD SKIES
More specifically VSAT networks are used for:
• Private Networks – serving vertical markets such as banking,
government and oil and gas
• Internet – for service providers who support consumers, SOHOs and
SMEs
Enterprise – Maritime and Oil & Gas
• The SES WORLD SKIES fleet of satellites are in ideal orbital positions,
particularly over the ocean regions for the Maritime and Oil and Gas
industries. Our satellites enable:
• Ship-to-shore communications to enable real-time decision making
• Remote monitoring and sensing of pipelines and other facilities
• Staying connected to home and the outside world while working in
remote locations
15
Enterprise – GSM Backhaul
•
•
SES WORLD SKIES’ GSM satellite solutions help customers bridge the gap
between dispersed areas and expand their service footprint irrespective of
distance, geographic barriers or terrestrial infrastructure
Possible uses:
• Connecting MSCs to the public switched telephone network
• Linking base stations to MSCs
• Optimizing infrastructure costs according to usage patterns
• Reliable back-up and redundancy in-case of terrestrial failure
Enterprise – Internet Services
• Our global coverage, highly reliable network of 14 teleports
and 24/7 support from our NOC have resulted in a proven
track record of satisfied customers
•
•
Internet Trunking
• Our ability to interconnect regions is ideal for providing Internet Trunking
• We connect underserved regions with major POPs in Europe, America and Asia
Internet Access
• Our High Power Ku-band beams are ideal for providing internet access
• We provide better throughput to smaller dishes enabling service directly to end
users
Who do we serve?
Government
Government – Services
Welfare & diplomatic
services
Rapid emergency
response
Occasional use for
government missions
Satellite networks enable
communications among
emergency response
teams when terrestrial
infrastructure is damaged
or lacking. They are also
instrumental for risk/
disaster management (e.g.
seismic/weather data
collection and distribution).
Our networks can be
deployed at short notice
and at a low cost.
We provide on-demand
capacity for a host of data
and communications
applications, including
maritime, military, distance
learning, tele-medicine,
video-conferencing, and
relief operations. We offer:
• best technology
• economical solutions
• customized bandwidth
• feeds arranged quickly
• reliability

Military
communications
Our satellites provide the
most reliable way to
transmit information during
military operations, in any
location, using secure links,
reducing vulnerability to
conventional attack or
disruption. We offer:
• global coverage
• high quality
• SCPC Services
• flexible leasing terms
Governments can rely on
our satellite services for
effective embassy
communications, data
collection and monitoring,
back-up systems, border
control, surveillance, or air
traffic control.
Our satellite networks are
an ideal cost-effective tool
for improving information
and service delivery.
