Immediate System Improvements
The RAIL system, Locus CCRS & Communications
Equipment provides numerous benefits:
•Replaces antiquated command & control equipment with
state-of-the-art, highly reliable, fault tolerant equipment.
•Improves the local interface with the Loran Station.
•Improves remote Command and Control to LCCS.
•Improves archiving functions and integrity of data.
•Improves reliability and availability of the Loran signal.
Future Plans
The RAIL system, along with the Communications Equipment will
provide the interface to two systems in development:
•Timing and Frequency Equipment (TFE)
•Transmitter Control System (TCS) for the new SSX Transmitter
Graphical User Interface for TFE .
Graphical User Interface for the new TCS.
Local and Remote Electronic Interface for TFE.
Local and Remote Electronic Interface for TCS.
