• Mongolia Telecom, established in 1921, is the
largest company by market capitalization on
Mongolian Stock Exchange. As the national
telecommunications service provider, the
company has a wide range of services such as
fixed line, wireless line, internet services as well
as facsimile and telex services. In 1995, Telecom
Mongolia was privatized. Government of
Mongolia holds 54.6 % of the company and Korea
Telecom owns 40%. The rest, 5.4 %, is held by the
public. Currently the company has around
160,000 operating units throughout Mongolia and
possesses over 98% of local telephone, 71% of
wireless fixed communication and 9.4% of cable
TV. The company connects its customers with 150
countries through American Intelsat, Asiasat 1
and Intersputnik telephone lines.

started after a large number of trials in the fields of video multimedia,
broadband telephone, IP Centrex, and integration of fixed-line and wireless.

It became possible to provide our customers with video phone, high speed
internet, and IP centrex services and video conference service
One network for various services /Plus other 33 types of value-added
services
Archive interoperability between NGN, Wireless, Internet, and PSTN by
deploying interworking gateways
Intelligent network services such us prepaid calling card, prepaid telephone
services, toll-free services and MCS /Mass Calling Services/
