ITS : Intelligent Transport System is a new domain of Telecommunication field
designed for vehicles and oriented in 3 different services corresponding to political
objectives:
Primary
public objective:

reduction of car accidents, providing road operators the
possibility to warn drivers for route hazard or using
communication systems for impact avoidance
V2I
Road safety services (ex stopped vehicle, wrong way
driving, hard braking, speed limits)

Ecological purpose:

transportation and traffic regulation optimized, allowing
reduction of petrol consumption and emissions of green
house effect gases

Traffic management services (ex road information, in
vehicle signage, traffic information and route/navigation
guidance)

New market opportunity:

Connection to the internet everywhere on the road depending on radio coverage and
