Efficacy and safety of liraglutide in combination with
metformin versus metformin monotherapy on glycaemic
control in children and adolescents with type 2 diabetes
26-week double-blind, randomised, parallel group, placebo
controlled multi-centre trial followed by a 26-week open label
extension
Key inclusion criteria:
10 to 16 years of age
Type 2 diabetes mellitus and treated for at least 30 days with
diet and exercise
diet and exercise + metformin
diet and exercise + metformin + stable dose of basal insulin
diet and exercise + stable dose of basal insulin
HbA1c 7% to 11% if diet and exercise
HbA1c 6.5% to 11% if treated with metformin alone, basal insulin
alone, or both
BMI > 85%

Efficacy and Safety of Faster-acting Insulin Aspart compared
to NovoRapid both in Combination with Insulin Degludec in
Children and Adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes
26-week randomized, partly double-blind, multicentre, multinational,
active controlled, treat-to-target, three-armed parallel group trial
Key inclusion criteria:
1 to 17 years of age
Type 1 diabetes mellitus
Basal-bolus insulin regimen for at least 90 days
HbA1c < or = 9.5%
Key exclusion criteria:
More than one episode of DKA requiring hospitalization within the last
90 days
