Ortho terms)
Did you notice that the editing file you
completed was strikingly similar to a file you
had in your regular reports?
 Many of you did better when you had type
out an entire you report than you did
spotting errors in the reports that were
given to you.
 Work on editing!!!!!!!!!!!

 Due
to the
difficult nature
of this week’s
reports, I am
issuing an
extension on
MT Client work.

Week 5 reports are
due on Friday, 11/25
by noon!


Let’s take a look at
the website for the
American Academy
of Orthopedic
Surgeons


http://orthoinfo.aaos
.org/

Look at the left-hand
side of the page –
you should see a
heading titled
“Glossary of
Orthopedic Words”.
Also notice that you
can locate terms
based on a specific
part of the body.
Let’s say that you know a dictated report
focuses on an injury to the wrist, but you
can’t quite make out some of the
terminology.
 Click on “Hand & Wrist”. What pops up
for you?
 You may be able to narrow down the
terminology options by the particular
type of injury.



Select any condition
or injury you see
listed here.
Take a look at the
information that the
new page has to
offer; you might find
something that
assists you with
transcription!

Is this a helpful site
for you?

issues with using punctuation correctly,
