 Texas Pharmacy Association is accredited by the

Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as
a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
The PTTP has been assigned APCE
number…..and is accredited for 240 contact hours
Self-paced instruction for high school juniors,
seniors, or adults
Course can be completed in one or two semesters

(PTCE) contains 90 questions in three job function areas. 80
questions are graded.
1. Assisting the pharmacist
(66%)
2. Maintaining medication and inventory control systems (22% )
3. Participating in the administration and management of pharmacy
practice (12%)
 Requirements:
 High school diploma or its equivalent
 No felony conviction
 The examination fee is $129.00

The ExCPT Examination contains 110 questions in three job
function areas. 100 questions are graded. Two hour exam.

• 2. Drugs and Drug Therapy (23%)

Requirements:
 High school diploma or GED
 No felony conviction, or crime related to controlled substances
The examination fee is $105.00.
