Social Class
•
Traditionally there are 3 social classes:
1. Working Class
2. Middle Class
3. Upper Class
Social Class
• Working class (or lower class, labouring class,
sometimes proletariat) is a term used to
describe those employed in lower tier jobs (as
measured by skill, education and lower
incomes), and also those who are unemployed
or otherwise possessing below-average
incomes.
Social Class
• Middle class is the socioeconomic class
between the working class and the upper
class, usually including professionals, highly
skilled labourers, and lower and middle
management.
Social Class
• Upper Class is the highest socioeconomic class
in a society – the extremely wealthy.Often
occupying upper management positions etc.
Recent Changes?
