Communication is a process of sending and
receiving messages in order to share meanings.
Communication is complex because it is really
more than just speaking and listening, is
transactional, involves sharing of meanings,
depends on feedback, is blocked by interference,
and occurs in a context.
Messages can be blocked by interference.
There are five basic communication acts: sharing
information, managing persuasive messages,
discussing feelings, following social rituals, and
using imagination.
There are three basic types of communication:
interpersonal, group or team and public speaking.
