Management Communication
Dear Manager,
We are embarking on an exciting collaboration opportunity with
SuccessFactors in which we need your support and management expertise.
In an effort to facilitate communication within our company we will be
implementing a collaboration software tool called Jam from
SuccessFactors. In order for the implementation of this software to be
successful we are requesting that you participate in a webinar that will
explain what Jam is and does.
We will also be requesting your assistance identifying dynamic individuals
within your department to help spearhead the project and work as
Champions or advocates to get fellow colleagues involved in using and
adopting Jam. We appreciate your participation and support in this
endeavor.
Sincerely,
Project Lead

We are embarking on an exciting collaboration opportunity with SuccessFactors and
would like your direct involvement and leadership!
In an effort to facilitate communication within our company we will be implementing
a collaboration software tool called Jam from SuccessFactors. In order for the
implementation of this software to be successful we need dynamic individuals
like yourself to help spearhead the project and work as an advocate to “rally the
troops” and get your fellow colleagues involved in using and adopting Jam.
Please attend our initial meeting on (day and date) at (time) where we will explain
what Jam is and does and how your role as Jam champion will contribute to the
success of this implementation.
Sincerely,

Champion Definition
What is a Jam Champion
A Jam Champion is a person who has been chosen to lead a Jam
group. Champions may be selected because they have deep
expertise in an area of the company (such as a product expert or
a process expert), or because they provide a large amount of
content that is used by others, such as a Marketing or HR
person. They may be technology enthusiasts who are eager to
use their social networking skills in a business environment. Or,
they may be people who would be interested in creating a blog to
share their thoughts and expertise with the rest of the
organization. All of these types of Champions add value to the
Jam environment.
Expectations of Champions
Expectations of Champions
As a Champion, you’ll have some key duties to make your group successful.
These items are:
To create and/or gather content for your group
To populate the group with this relevant content
To invite others to your group
To act as a leader for discussions within your group
You’ll be invited to a Champions Workshop in the next few days, where you’ll
learn more about the Jam product’s capabilities. You’ll brainstorm on ideas
for your group, and will begin to map out the content and structure of your
group. You’ll spend time building your group, and then will invite other
relevant people to your group when you’re finished. As people start using
your group for communication, you’ll act as a moderator, guiding the
conversations and making sure your group is providing a great place for
information and discussions.
Thank You
