A is for Aristocrats
Aristocrats held high positions in all the ancient China
dynasties.
B is for Bo, Li
Li Bo was a famous poet in the Qin dynasty.
C is for Confucius
Confucius was a famous philosopher who is well known for his
philosophy of Confuciunism.
D is for Dynasty
A dynasty is a line of rulers from the same family.
E is for Explosives
Explosives were just one of the many uses of the invention of
gunpowder.
F is for Farmers
Farmers were usually low-ranking peasants ruled by
aristocrats.
G is for the Great Wall of China
The Great Wall of China is over 5,000 miles long!
H is for the Han Dynasty
The Han dynasty was founded by Liu Bang in 206 BCE.
I is for Improvements
Many of the improvements made upon China were the
inventions created, like the nail.
J is for Jiang, Chang
The Chang Jaing river is a river in China that supported he
early civilizations there.
K is for Khan, Gengis
Gengis khan was a title given to high ranking Mongols. It meant
"Great Leader".
L is for Legalism
Legalism was a philosophy founded by Laozi stating that
society must have strict laws to be maintain peace.
M is for Millet
Millet is a crop that was eaten by farmers because they could
not afford to buy food.
N is for Nails
Nails were an invention created to strengthen houses in ancient
China. They were sometimes made of steel.
O is for Ode
Odes were strong poems written to express feeling.
P is for Philosophy
Philosophy is similar to a law. It has a main purpose.
Q is for Qin
The Qin was a dynasty founded by Qin Shi Huang
R is for Rice
Rice was eaten by poor farmers because they couldn't afford
other food.
S is for Silk Road
The Silk Road was a gigantic trade route that spanned from
east China to west China.
T is for Tea
Tea was a spice traded on the Silk Road. It was Very expelsive
to trade though.
U is for United
China was a separated country, but it was united through
strong leadership.
V is for Vicious Mongols
Mongols were very strong and they were vicious warriors
during wartime.
W is for Warlord
A warlord is a person who has rule over military persons.
X is for Xia Dynasty
The Xia dynasty was the first dynasty to be founded. Not much
is known about them.
Y is for Yellow River
The Yellow River is 1 of 2 main rivers in China.
Z is for Zhou Dynasty
The Zhou Dynasty is known to be the longest ruling dynasty, for
over 800 years!
