Day Four Women’s Suffrage
Movement
We celebrate equality of gender on this
day 9/14. The key leaders were Elizabeth
Stanton and Susan B. Anthony. They were
the leading spokesman people for the
women’s suffrage movement. They started
there public life on February 15 1820. Women
got the right to vote on August 26 1920.
The nineteenth
Amendment
The nineteenth amendment was all about
the women’s right to vote. Part of the
nineteenth amendment was “ The right of
citizens of the united states to vote shall not
be denied of abridged by the united states or
any other states on account of gender.” From
1840-1920 women fought for there right to
vote and now most women across America
are free to vote because of Elizabeth
Stanton and Susan B. Anthony and all the
other women involved in the women’s
suffrage movement
